  • I don’t have a big sweet tooth, but I do like making hot chocolate with almond milk. I take some supplements- Neem, Wild Yam, and B12. I’d rather get all of the vitamins that I need through my food, but in today’s world, it isn’t always realistic. I need to read that book!

  • I kind of go back and forth…sometimes I don’t eat many sweets and sometimes I eat lots. I’d like to kind of just even out and have them sometimes, but it’s a work in progress!

I go in spurts. I either eat to many or none at all. I’ve never been able to have a healthy balance. I have changed the sweets I eat to healthier “whole food” sweets. I love throwing some frozen fruit, almond milk & stevia in the Vita-Mix with a couple tsp of cocoa powder.
I take Calcium w/Vitamin D and Omega 3. I got a B-12 shot last week. My husband has started getting them for energy & offered to treat me to one.

If I could STAND needles, I would totally try a B12 shot! Alas, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to handle it…

I definitely go in sweet “spurts” too!!

  • Girl, you know we love our sweets :) I have been trying slowly to reduce my sugar intake, some days I am better than others, but hey it is a start :)

    Have safe travels!!

  • Awwwww how sweet he is! Glad you had a great valentines day!!! I love this detox drink!!! I will have to try it! I actually every morning drink warm water with fresh squeezed lemon in it! Its the first thing I do before anything every morning ; )

  • Duh, why did I not think of that!! I am making this lemonade tomorrow morning!

I’ll be interested to hear how you do with the digestive enzymes. My doc wanted me to take them but I remember hearing somewhere that taking them is like miscombining every meal-because they contain the properties needed to digest ‘typical’ meals. I don’t know this for sure so I would like to know if they work for you!

That’s really interesting about the enzymes! I haven’t really noticed a difference at all yet… but I haven’t taken them that consistently yet, either. I’ll have to look into that!

  • I love having lemonade made the same way a while after my dinner meal for a sweet hit. So good and I agree it hits the spot!

  • I love sweets, but can usually be satisfied with fruit like berries, melon or something more exotic. Your lemonade looks lovely…I would have tossed in some frozen berries instead of ice cubes!

  • I almost always have some kind of sweet every day because I’m a huuuuuge sweet monster. Savory things are good but just not as good as sweet!

Right now for supplements I’m taking a probiotic and also vitamin D but I’m starting to think about taking something else. Maybe B12 because I don’t eat meat and I know I really need to get that vitamin into my body. :/
