You’ve probably noticed that my meals have gotten a little monotonous lately.
Green juice.
Goat cheese salads.
Vegetables topped with MORE raw goat cheese.
Dark chocolate.
It’s not a bad life, really.

Lucky for me, though, I have a fellow cleanser-in-crime (who also attended Natalia’s Advanced Training with me last month) to share ideas with when I find myself in a food rut. This morning, she sent me a recipe for a delicious, detox-friendly iced chocolate almond milk that sounded divine! Only one problem–> I didn’t have any almond milk or almond butter on hand.
I did, however, have a ripe avocado.
So, I made the next best thing…
Choco-cado Milkshake
serves 1-2
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups water or almond milk
1 ripe avocado
2 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
liquid stevia, to taste
handful of ice*optional: 2 handfuls fresh spinach, for a green milkshake

Directions
Throw all the ingredients into a blender, and blend until completely smooth and creamy. (you shouldn’t see any flecks of avocado, or it kinda ruins the effect…) You could easily stop here and serve this mixture over ice.
But if you have a high-powered blender, like the Vita-Mix, throw a handful of ice into the blender and blend until ice-cold and creamy! It’s just like a milkshake!!
The cinnamon is like the “secret ingredient” to this drink– it really takes the flavor over-the-top!
In fact, I’m already craving it again.

Did I mention that I kinda love this cleanse?

Hi
I would like to know about portion like how much goat cheese zou can eat in your cleanse like 2-3oz or more? Also the same with chocolate 2-3oz a day?
Thanks a lot
Lately, I’ve been eating up to 6oz. of the raw goat cheese, but portion varies daily depending on my appetite and the portion of the veggies that I’m eating with it.
As far as the dark chocolate goes, I’ll eat anywhere from 1 to 3oz. of the stuff each night.
how creative I love avocados in smoothies and this looks great!
I have a super ripe avocado at home and I think I’m going to try this tonight! It looks delicious!
That smoothie looks delicious! I love cinnamon. I live in North Carolina and avocados here are at least 1.25 a piece, if not more! I wish I lived in CA and could get them cheaper!
Avocados aren’t much cheaper than that here! The best sale I’ve ever seen is 5 for $5, but they usually run around $2/each on average.
Luckily, I don’t spend any money on meat or processed foods– so I have no problem spending more on my veggies and goat cheese!
What kind of dextox is this!? yum!!
I love cinnamon in my smoothies too!

Cinnamon does make everything better!
yum
I have made this smoothie right now, this is so good. Btw. do you workout during this cleance like running or anything? or just relax?
When you workout what do you drink after?
Thank you:-)
You know I am vegan and it took me a good time to stop craving goat cheese and now I have seen it almost every day on your food journal:-) But cravings have been away already
I didn’t work out too much last week, since my body needed more rest than usual to adapt to the cleanse. This week, I’m feeling a little more energized so I’ve added rebounding and walking back into my routine. I plan to start incorporating strength training and running again soon, now that I’m cruising.
I don’t worry about timing or specific fuel for my workouts, so I’ll be eating whatever my body wants, whenever it wants– just like I do now.
Oh YUM! This looks delicious and so thick!
love it! this smoothie sounds like something I would love
I love following this! I noticed you mentioned in a previous post that you were cutting out coffee but that this wasn’t necessarily required for a yeast cleanse, is that right? Did Natalia have much to say regarding coffee in her course? I don’t drink it regularly but once in a while…
I don’t recall Natalia mentioning coffee much during the Advanced Training, other than the fact that she doesn’t worry about it much in regards to her clients until they are further along in the process. I think she assumed that most of us in attendance were no longer drinking coffee… though I still do love a cup on occasion, too.
I think as long as you’re enjoying a small amount of coffee away from your probiotics, green juice, etc. you could definitely include it in a moderate yeast-fighting program and still see results.

Was wondering if you could use truvia packets instead of liquid stevia. If so, how much do you think you should use?
I’ve personally never tried Truvia, but I assume it would be similar to using pure stevia.
I like to “taste as I go” to make sure it’s sweetened just right, so I’d start with one packet, and go from there! I would imagine 1-2 packets would work, assuming it’s as sweet as stevia packets. Also, if you haven’t tried NuNaturals stevia products, I highly recommend them– they’re the best brand I’ve ever tried, and don’t leave you with a weird aftertaste, like some other ones can.
Hope you enjoy it!
Im drinking one right now! yumm! Borrowed my brother’s blender, a high powered one makes such a delicious difference; I’ve been waiting to make one of these since August. Thanks! Always great!
