Welcome to my NEW blog!!
There has been a LOT of work going on behind the scenes over here… I truly had no idea how challenging it would be to transfer an established blog! (especially for a blogger like me, with NO technical experience… php? CSS? SQL? What’s that?!!!)
I have this YouTube video to thank for a seamless transition, and practiced a lot of patience during the whole process. It took nearly 3 days just to download all the folders from my old blog! Two years of photos, over 500 posts, and thousands of comments, all take up a lot of space. But, now that it’s all said and done– *knock on wood*–I think it was worth the effort.
That is, assuming all my readers stay with me.
I hope the transition is easier for you than it was for me.

Why the name change?
Honestly, it’s been a long time coming. When I started my original blog, the term hoggin’ was simply an inside-joke among our close friends; a fun term we used to describe “eating.” When I was trying to think of a blog name, I liked the alliteration of “Healthy Hoggin,” and didn’t give it much more thought than that. It was playful, but more importantly, it was also a SECRET–> I didn’t tell ANYONE I knew about my blog for the first year that I was writing it, so it didn’t matter what I called it!
(my very first blog header… before I switched to a self-hosted blog)
When my blog finally started to get a following, I found myself embarrassed to meet my readers in person, and especially to hear my blog’s name said out loud. “Healthy Hoggin” doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue… in fact, it kinda sounds like I’m choking when I say it.

Since this month officially marks my 2-year “blogiversary,” and it was time to re-new my web hosting plan anyway, it seemed like the perfect time to make the change over to a name that still embodies my theme of detox-friendly recipes and lifestyle, but that sounds a little better when said out loud.
“Detoxinista” was available, and fits the bill!

Disclaimer: While I did receive free samples of NuNaturals products, I was not under any obligation to host a giveaway nor to post a review of their products. I am very picky about which products I feature here on the blog, and all thoughts and opinions posted are my own.

I can sympathize with you on this one!!! When I first started my blog I was totally trying to be a raw fooder and change my family to all raw fooders…I went a little crazy on all of them and over time I have learned to back off but I started my blog as Rawkinmom….now here we are 2 years later and I can’t get rid of the name!!! I changed the url to say Color Wheel meals but I have still established a “Rawkinmom” name….and so people assume I am a raw fooder….I have tried many times but for now vegetarian and clean eating is sitting well with me and my family….but I am still stuck as Rawkinmom!!! Oh well-good luck!!
