Weekend Things

If you find yourself with extra time on your hands this weekend, I highly recommend doing the following:

1. Make this raw chocolate mousse.

And top it with a sliced banana + cinnamon. So good.

2. Prepare a few of your favorite dips and dressings, so you’ll have healthy meals and snacks ready all week long!

Large batches of Raw Hummus and Vegan Pesto are ready to go in our house! (Use the ice cube tray trick, to make them easily portioned.)

Plus, plenty of Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies, Sugar-Free Chocolate Mousse and Raw Almond Yogurt. We’re stocked up! :)

3. Try a new recipe!

(And be sure to lick the bowl.)

4. Get outdoors! Preferably with a friend <–human or the furry variety.

Yasha got an extra-long walk today, to celebrate her 9th birthday!

We also celebrated with some new Raw Food and her favorite Kong toy!

Pretty good birthday, if you ask me.

5. Oh, and if you don’t have a lot of extra time on your hands, try this.

Pecan halves stuffed into dates, with a pinch of salt. It tastes JUST like pecan pie.

Try it.

Trust me. 

However you’re spending it, hope you’re all having a great weekend!

    I have just made raw goat yogurt from raw goat milk it is so delicious and many healthy bacteria. An chocolate mousse will be the next recipe:-)

  • Good Sunday Morning!!! I have been making a lot of your recipes and I am LOVING them! I want to try the vegan pesto and was wondering….I made a whole batch of walnut butter last weekend and was wondering if I could just use this in the pesto instead of putting whole walnuts in? and if so what would the right ratio amount be for 1/2 cup chopped versus the almond butter? Hope that makes sense lol. Thank you so much for all the great recipes and ideas. i love reading your blog!

    • I would think 1/4 cup of walnut butter would be about the equivalent of 1/2 cup loose walnuts. You can always add extra to make it “creamier,” too! Hope you enjoy it. :)
