Father’s Day is right around the corner!
In case you’d like to give something special to the dads in your life, I thought I’d share some gift ideas today–> because I don’t know about you, but I can always use some extra help in that department.
Is it just me, or are men more challenging to shop for?

9 Father’s Day Gift Ideas
1. Chemex Drip Coffee Carafe. Not only does this glass coffee maker produce a tasty cup of coffee, it’s also BPA-free and looks great on your counter.
Complete this gift with coordinating filters and a bag of organic, fair-trade coffee for the coffee lover in your life!
–
2. Contigo Travel Coffee Mug. This is hands-down the best travel mug I’ve ever used–> for coffee, or otherwise.
Austin has used his for over two years, and it has yet to leak! I purchased one myself, simply for it’s leak-proof feature, to keep water safely in my purse!
–
3. Kyocera Ceramic Knife. The BEST knife in the world. Seriously.
And it never needs to be sharpened!
–
4. Glass Straws. Now, I’ll admit… when I gave my dad these straws last year, he looked at me like I was crazy. Why in the world would he want a set of glass straws?
Fast-forward to this year, and he’s ordered two more sets.
They really do make whatever you’re drinking taste better. (Especially when it comes to drinking green juices and smoothies!)
–
5. Biodynamic Wine. The biodynamic approach takes into account the vineyard as an ecological whole, as in how the soil, season and overall environment work interdependently to create the final product.
For a list of biodynamic wines, check out these recommendations.
–
6. Rawtella. Because who doesn’t love the taste of Nutella?
(And this one is naturally sweetened!)
–
7. Hail Merry’s Seasoned Pecans. Loaded with fiber and protein, these raw spiced pecans make a delicious, heart-healthy snack for the men in your life.
(I’ve noticed Hail Merry snack starting to pop up in local movie theaters around LA. Yay, for healthy movie snacks!!)
–
8. Of course, nothing beats a homemade treat for dad!
Some quick & easy favorites include:
Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies.
(Because calling them Paleo makes them sound “manly.”)
Grain-free Frosted Sugar Cookies.
–
9. The tried-and-true favorite? A hand-written card. Because it’s definitely the thought that counts!
(You’d think this would be a given for me, considering I illustrate them for a living… but I’m terrible at sending cards.)

Reader Feedback: Are you doing anything special for Father’s Day? Any more gift or craft ideas to share?

Love your ideas..my fav would be the homemade treats!
Hi Megan – I’m new to your site (just came across it last week). Enjoying your site and wanted to quickly mention our family LOVES glass straws! My husband first bought 6 of them a few years ago and I thought he was crazy to pay that much for straws. LOL. But they’re actually really great! Our family uses them practically everyday. As a matter of fact, my son and I just bought another pack of glass straws for my hubby for Father’s Day this morning.
Great ideas! I still haven’t picked out a father’s day gift, so these are great options! Baked goods are always a great choice of course
I really like your ideas! I will be giving zero of these to my dad, other than sending him a store-bought card, but I bet my husband (who is not a father yet) would love that travel mug and we’d both love that knife!
