I’m afraid my meals haven’t been too interesting this week.
I’ve been traveling for work, which means my meals have to be quick and easy to grab–> with very little room for creativity. It also means I’ve eaten more meals out than I care to admit. I had almost forgotten what it’s like to feel swollen after a meal. Why do chefs insist on adding so much sodium to their food?!
Needless to say, I’m looking forward to getting back to LA this afternoon, and back to my own kitchen.
In the meantime, here’s a peek at one of my work days this week.
Un-pictured: water, a raw probiotic, and 2 cups of black coffee.
Fresh pineapple–> eaten straight out of the container I keep sitting in my work fridge. Pineapple usually makes my tongue burn after a while (From the enzymes? The sugar? I don’t know!), so that’s my stopping point.
Followed later by a cup of plain goat yogurt.

Romaine salad dressed with a few spoonfuls of raw tahini, the juice of a whole lemon, garlic, Himalayan sea salt, and topped with cherry tomatoes.
Half a bag of organic snap peas. (Love that Trader Joe’s is carrying these now!)

The easiest “travel dinner” ever.
A box of herb salad mix, a 4 oz. chunk of organic goat cheese, a box of cherry tomatoes and the juice of a lemon. (I also added a squirt of German mustard!) Combine everything in the salad box, chop it together to mix, and eat straight from the box!
Very little time to prepare, and virtually no dirty dishes when you’re finished!
I tried a couple squares of this almond & sea salt chocolate bar for dessert. It was a little too sweet for my taste, but I love anything that combines sweet + salt!
