What I Ate Wednesday

New York edition!

Here’s a sample of my daily eats, while on our recent trip to NYC.

Morning

Un-pictured: 16 oz. iced coffee

Green Coco Juice, from Organic Avenue. Green chard, romaine, spinach, kale, celery and Thai coconut water combined for a mild-tasting green drink.

Followed by a shot of aloe juice, to keep me extra-hydrated.

Lunch

After a hot and humid walk around the High Line, we enjoyed lunch inside the (air-conditioned!) Chelsea Market.

We were instantly drawn to The Green Table, which features farm fresh ingredients. I opted for their Harvest Salad, which changes daily depending on seasonal availability. On this particular day, it was a dense bowl of spring greens and spicy arugula, topped with fresh peaches, pecans, and some sort of tasty local cheese. So good!

Followed later by some raw tiramisu, from One Lucky Duck.

Best tiramisu EVER.

Dinner

We dined at Amber, which was recommended to us by a friend for Asian-fusion cuisine.

In addition to a glass of wine, I enjoyed sweet potato sushi, made with brown rice, and a variety of vegetables cooked in a green curry sauce. Austin ordered the pineapple fried rice, which was surprisingly served inside half of a pineapple! (This would be such a cute party idea!)

We finished off the evening at Riposo 72, with another glass of wine for dessert!
