I am a cloth diaperer to a two year old and tried everything under the sun. If you ever want to try out sized diapers I highly recommend fuzzibunz or charlie bananas. I prefer snaps over velcro because I get a better fit and they hold up better. I also highly recommend hemp inserts or doublers. I like thirties or hemp babies doublers…adds extra absorbancy without much bulk.

We are 27 weeks pregnant with our second boy. Good luck with your little one and love love love your blog!!!!

    Hi!

I was wondering if you have any suggestions on what to use as baby skincare?

My son is now 4 years and he has atopic eczema, and i really want to avoid those Creams and such that the doctor prescribes, I want natural lotion, could you help me?

My son is still an infant, so I don’t have too much experience in this department yet! At this point, I only feel comfortable using pure coconut oil on his skin and don’t plan on trying any other lotions unless the need arises. Best of luck to you!

It sounds strange but Beef Tallow from grassfed animals is a miracle for skin. I’ve heard great stories from moms w/ children w/ eczema. It’s inexpensive and you can get it scented w/ natural organic essential oils so it smells great. Just make sure it’s grassfed. There’s lots of stuff online about it if you want to read more.

  • Hey Megan I have been following you for a while and LOVE your blog. I just found out I was pregnant two days ago and I am super excited and overwhelmed! I was wondering if you had any recommendations on a comprehensive natural pregnancy nutrition and exercise book. I know there are certain books with varying advice but from what I can tell most books recommend eating processed dairy, soy, whole wheat etc – all things I have found aren’t the healthiest for our bodies nor our babies. I have heard of Flavia Del Monte’s “All Belly Pregnancy” but not sure if you had any suggestions that were helpful to you. Thank you!!
