Daily Greens Giveaway

Vegetable juicing seems to be taking the country by storm, with more juice shops and delivery services popping up all the time. These delivery services are particularly helpful for those of us on the road, and for those without a juicer at home, nor any local juice options nearby. (Which is the situation I’m currently in!)

In the spirit of finding new convenient juice options, I recently had the pleasure of trying Daily Greens.

daily greens juice bottles

What I like about Daily Greens is that they were developed by a breast cancer survivor, so they are lower in sugar than most other juice delivery services. These juices get their balanced flavor from a combination of dark and light green vegetables, fresh herbs, and special additions, like Madagascar vanilla. I love that they offer veggie-only juices, and that their flavors that do contain fruit are not overwhelming sweet. Daily Greens also makes an effort to use organic and locally-sourced produce whenever possible.

Though these juices aren’t heated or pasteurized, Daily Greens does use cold pressure to help eliminate harmful bacteria, like salmonella and E. coli. This type of processing gives these bottled juices a longer shelf life, which may be appealing to those of us who don’t want to commit to a juice fast, but would rather enjoy the juices over several days or weeks. It’s also a great option for individuals who may be wary of raw, unpasteurized juices, such as pregnant women and those with compromised immune systems. I personally feel like I can taste a difference between unpasteurized juices and those that have been processed using cold pressure, but the difference is subtle, and these juices are still thought to maintain a high yield of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, even after the cold pressure processing.

As far as the flavors go, I love the creative combinations that Daily Greens offers! My favorite is their Renew flavor, which includes mint, spinach, cucumber, watermelon, dandelion, pineapple, celery and lime. My husband, who loves anything with jalapeno, particularly loved the Vitality flavor, which includes kale, jalapeno, pineapple, cucumber, cilantro, celery and lime. Even their flavors that don’t include sweet fruits, like Elevate and Purity, are surprisingly tasty and refreshing.

Lately in my house the big hit has been a Vitamin C juice. It has grapefruit, orange, carrot, and ginger. So refreshing and was perfect for the harsh winter we had. My husband actually enjoys it so it’s a bonus, but I do love green juices so I make sure to include those in our weekly lineup.
