Un-pictured: Lots of water and two cups of Earl Grey tea, plus a cap full of raw aloe juice. (For some reason, tea sounded better than coffee this week!)
When the weather gets cooler outside, I start craving something a little heavier in the mornings. Instead of green juice, I opted for a green smoothie!
Included in this mix was one frozen banana, a whole avocado, 1 cup strawberries, 2 handfuls of romaine lettuce, a scoop of raw cocoa, water, vanilla, ice and a few drops of liquid stevia. (This makes two glasses worth– I enjoyed both throughout the morning.) It kinda tasted like a chocolate-covered strawberry milkshake!
Romaine salad topped with lots of shredded carrots, 1/2 an avocado, a hard boiled egg, and my second attempt at making a sun-dried tomato dressing. (This new batch is even better than the first!) For some reason, I’ve been craving eggs with my avocado salads lately– so even though it’s not technically properly combined, sometimes my appetite wins out.
I was still feeling a bit “munchy” after this salad, so I followed it with another hard boiled egg!
Un-pictured: I snacked on a whole bag of carrots while preparing dinner!
Large mixed green salad, topped with red bell peppers, artichoke hearts, fresh dill, and smothered in creamy tahini dressing.
Followed by a bowl of chocolate banana soft serve, with added almond butter for extra-creaminess. So good!
