Creamy Chocolate Hazelnut Shake (Vegan)

A creamy, dairy-free milkshake featuring chocolate and hazelnuts.


  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup whole hazelnuts (with or without skin), soaked in water overnight and drained
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder , or cocoa powder
  • 3 to 4 dates , pitted
  • pinch of salt
  • 10 ice cubes


  1. Combine the water, hazelnuts, chia seeds, cacao powder, dates, and salt in a high-speed blender, and blend until smooth. Adjust any ingredients to taste, then add in the ice and blend again to create a milkshake-like texture.
  2. Pour into two glasses and serve immediately!
