Now that I’m back in LA, it’s nice to get back to my regular routine.
I’m especially excited to be reunited with my juicer!
–
Morning
Fresh juice: One romaine heart, half an English cucumber, 5 large carrots and a lemon.
Followed by a cup of organic strawberries.
–
Lunch
A large mixing bowl of salad–> 5 oz. mixed greens, raw sauerkraut (store-bought), cherry tomatoes, red peppers, a whole avocado, dressed with lemon juice and a squirt of organic German mustard. (my new favorite mustard!)
–
Post-Workout Snack
Plain goat’s milk yogurt, topped with chopped steamed beets.
–
Dinner
We dined out at a local BBQ restaurant, where I ordered this grilled salmon salad. I brought my own dressing of mustard and lemon juice, to avoid any more scary restaurant dressings.
–
Post-Dinner
Bengal Spice tea, with a bit of 100% chocolate melted into it–> it was like a spicy Mexican hot chocolate!

What are YOU eating this week?

Yum yum yum! I am eating delicious juices…yesterday I made a sort of mix between a soup/smoothie/juice concoction with beets, pumpkin, zucchini, and carob plus stevia and chia seeds to thicken..mmm…plus salads…I added back in sea weed salad..yum with apples, raisins, goat cheese and some spices..oh, celery too! Lots of good food!
I really need to try making a seaweed salad! All of your eats sound so good!
I love these posts! This week I have increased my fruit intake, particularly berries. I have been having real cravings for them and utterly loving the blackberries. One of those times I exaggeratedly swear I could live on berries alone
I love blackberries, too! I think I could be pretty happy living off just berries.
Yogurt and beets does not sound appetizing to me – bleh!
Ha, it was definitely an unusual combo… probably not my favorite.
The yogurt and beets is something I have never seen before!
There’s probably a good reason for that– it’s kinda weird.
Not the worst combo I’ve ever tried, but not the best either.
Well I have to respond and say that beets and yogurt sound TASTY to me! Probably with some stevia and cinnamon.
Stevia would have definitely helped!! And cinnamon.
I wonder if you added walnuts and a drizzle of honey if it would be like cheesecake?
I made a smoothie with strawberries today, which I almost never do. Strawberries, greens, banana, almond milk, stevia, vanilla, cardamom, ice. Awesome!
Mmm… I bet it would be reminiscent of cheesecake! Your smoothie sounds terrific.
Your salads look amazing! I have been reading your blog and super obsessed with all your recipes! You have really inspired me to eat better!
Tomorrow, I am having your avacado smoothie in the morning! Super excited!!
That makes me so happy, Caroline.
Hope you enjoy the smoothie!!
Hi Megan please can you share where did you buy mustard? or the link thanks:-)
Love strawberries we have wild strawberries in mountain here also blueberries I go there every summer and find like 20 pounds and freeze them. They are much smaller
I bought the mustard at Whole Foods– it’s their brand. I love that it’s made with apple cider vinegar!
Hi
I just bought a juicer and I am very excited to get healthy using my jucier. do you have receipes? I have been trying many difffernt kinds, some just dont taste good mixed
The yogurt with beets is such a random combo haha. Any good? I love that tea! I just tried it out yesterday, so delicious
Thanks for the recommendation on the Began Spice tea! I tried it yesterday for the first time and you’re right its sweet…I wonder what sweetener they use since its not listed on the ingredients. It tastes like a cross between chai and big red gum. Delicious!
