Can you believe it’s already the end of the year?
It seriously flew by!
To say farewell to 2012, I thought it might be fun to do a review of some of my favorite recipes from this year. I must say, it’s been pretty delicious!
–
By far, the most popular recipe this year! Though I first tried making cauliflower pizza crust last year, it wasn’t until this year that I learned how to make it well. (Thanks to my culinary training with Doris!) No more soggy cauliflower crusts! This is the type you can pick up with your hands and fool your family!
–
This isn’t so much of a recipe, as it is a technique… but it’s been a life-changer for me this year. I’ll never buy expensive almond butter from the store again!
–
This is my favorite go-to dessert, and one of the most popular recipes on my site. This buttery fudge is incredibly easy to make, loaded with nutrients, and tastes like a decadent treat. I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t love it!
–
This is one of those rare recipes that truly tastes BETTER than the original. I may not be able to wait for the next “pumpkin season” to make them again!
–

A healthy ranch dressing, loaded with probiotics! It tastes just like the traditional stuff!
–
Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream.
I’ve been making banana soft serve for years, but adding peanut butter to a batch makes it unbelievably creamy and decadent! This ice cream is so delicious, I may never need the dairy version again. It will even fool kids!
–
This pasta dish has become a new favorite in my home, and everyone who tries it seems to love it, too! Served over spaghetti squash “noodles,” it’s perfect for anyone who needs to avoid gluten or grains, without any feeling of deprivation!
–
This year, I tried sweet potato noodles for the very first time– and I fell in love. This creamy pasta, made with a vegan sauce of roasted red peppers, is surprisingly delicious!
–
Raspberry Chocolate Chip Muffins.
These muffins are ridiculously tasty, and are so fluffy, you’d never guess they are grain-free!
–
I can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store. I’ve already got a pile of healthy recipe ideas to work on for the New Year!

I have so many recipes that I love from your site! One of my favorites that I tried this year is your Healthier Flourless Chocolate Cake. It is amazing! I’m in love with PB & banana soft serve, as well. I have some leftover pumpkin in the fridge, and I’m going to try and make your pumpkin bars today. Thanks for all your hard work! Much appreciated!
Those raspberry chocolate chip muffins are AMAZING, definately my favourite!
I would love to see more recipes similar to the almond butter fudge, like raw frozen desserts those are always my fave!
thanks for the amazing recipes this year
I agree, more raw frozen desserts! However, I would really like to see more simple meal ideas and less desserts!
The raspberry muffins and almond butter freezer fudge are my two faves for sure!
Love the recap! I’d love to see more vegan savory meal ideas! Maybe a hot sauce recipe?
Happy New Year everyone!! All the best in 2013! I am looking forward to more savoury meals and fresh salad ideas as well – after the holidays I’ve had too many sweets!
Oh boy, so many to love!! I have been absolutely loving your pecan/date truffles, grain and nut free granola and almond butter fudge. I would really love to see more entree ideas this year. Thanks for being a fabulous resource and so very uplifting and motivating!
Hi, I have loved stumbling across your site. I’ve shared it with many friends who have also been inspired and took up your recipes immediately.
I loved the frozen “cheesecake” recipes. I made the chocolate swirl one with roasted hazlenuts, and it was like nutella!! Sooo good! The pizza crust was really enjoyed by my dinner guests, too. Thanks for all the cool ideas, they’ve inspired me to alter other recipes and reduce flour and sugar consumption.
Unfortunately, my hubby is a meat and potatoe kind of guy who is not huge on veggies, so I can’t totally conform to all these techniques and recipes, but I have been able to share a few with him that he liked, so that was win-win
