Meet my new favorite guilt-free dessert.

This almond milk slushie is my solution for evenings when I want a cold and creamy treat, without consuming something that’s too dense or difficult on my digestive system. It’s light and sweet, and tastes similar to vanilla ice cream, while remaining dairy-free!
It’s also incredibly easy to make. In less than 5 minutes, you could be enjoying a glass yourself!

Almond Milk Slushie (Vegan)
serves 1
Ingredients:
1 cup chilled almond milk
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5-6 ice cubes
Want to save this for later?
Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients in a high-speed blender, and blend until a uniform slushie-like texture is achieved. Add more ice, if a thicker texture is desired, keeping in mind that additional ice will dilute the sweet vanilla flavor. (You can always add more maple syrup and vanilla, if you like.)
Pour into a large glass and enjoy with a spoon or a straw!

Note: If you don’t care for almond milk, you can substitute any other type of milk that you like. For a sugar-free version, you can also use liquid stevia, instead of the maple syrup, to taste.

Ingredients
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 5-6 ice cubes
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients in a high-speed blender, and blend until a uniform slushie-like texture is achieved. Add more ice, if a thicker texture is desired, keeping in mind that additional ice will dilute the sweet vanilla flavor. (You can always add more maple syrup and vanilla, if you like.)
- Pour into a large glass and enjoy immediately, with a spoon or a straw!

Reader Feedback: What’s your favorite go-to treat?

I do this with coconut milk (carton version).I also add in protein powder.
What vanilla extract do you use/recommend?
There’s a link to my favorite organic brand in the ingredient list above!
Definitely going to try this! I’m an ice cream fan so this will definitely be on my list.
I make this same treat but use almond milk ice cubes so it doesn’t get watered down.

I JUST GOT A BRILLIANT IDEA: Almond milk ice cubes then lowering the almond milk volume accordingly!
