Meet my new favorite guilt-free dessert.

almond milk slushie in a glass

This almond milk slushie is my solution for evenings when I want a cold and creamy treat, without consuming something that’s too dense or difficult on my digestive system. It’s light and sweet, and tastes similar to vanilla ice cream, while remaining dairy-free!

It’s also incredibly easy to make. In less than 5 minutes, you could be enjoying a glass yourself!

Almond Milk Slushie (Vegan)
serves 1

Ingredients:

1 cup chilled almond milk
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5-6 ice cubes

I'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it later!

Directions:

Combine all of the ingredients in a high-speed blender, and blend until a uniform slushie-like texture is achieved. Add more ice, if a thicker texture is desired, keeping in mind that additional ice will dilute the sweet vanilla flavor. (You can always add more maple syrup and vanilla, if you like.)

Pour into a large glass and enjoy with a spoon or a straw!

Note: If you don’t care for almond milk, you can substitute any other type of milk that you like. For a sugar-free version, you can also use liquid stevia, instead of the maple syrup, to taste.

  1. Love this dessert recipe! Have been drinking daily. I add a few frozen strawberries for a delicious vanilla-berry flavor! Thanks for the recipe. Love your website!!

  2. Oh, it looks so good. The one recipe reminds me of the texture of a root beer float. I like what a comment above said… what about adding an avocado to make it really smooth and creamy.

  3. I cheated and made this with TJ’s unsweetened vanilla almond milk and ice…still delicious!! thanks 🙂

  4. I love your website! This sounds like a great recipe which I’m going to try!

Can you recommend any websites that would explain the right way to do an elimination diet or would help me to find out which foods are inflammatory for my body? I’m menopausal and can’t seem to lose weight and have sinus allergy symptoms plus asthma. Thanks for your help!

  5. Currently I’ve been snacking on raw thin mints that I’ve made inspired by Elana’s Pantry…recipe coming soon..they are melt in your mouth good! Raw, gluten free and super easy to make…maybe not quite as easy as this slushy but easy! 🙂 Happy Friday!

  6. I made the vanilla “ice cream” shake last night. I also added a scoop of vanilla raw protein (Warrior Blend.) It was amazing!!!!!
