Detox Chocolate Pudding

I haven’t always been a huge fan of avocados, but with this pudding, you won’t even know that they’re in there! It’s jam-packed with loads of nutrients and healthy, mono-saturated fats– but all you’ll taste is rich, chocolatey goodness.

Detox Chocolate Pudding
serves 4

4 avocados
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup pure Grade B maple syrup
1/4 cup almond milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. sea salt

Place all ingredients into a high-powered blender or food processor, and blend until smooth. Serve cold.

Feel free to adjust this recipe to fit your tastes! I prefer sweetening with pure maple syrup, for its depth of flavor, but honey and stevia are great, all-natural sweeteners, too.

Enjoy!

i made a similar recipe to this but i put the “pudding” into a pie shell that i made. the recipe for the pudding portion is exactly the same to this one except that it also has some melted chocolate chips in it (i used unsweetened baking chocolate), which i think made the pudding taste better (as opposed to using only the cocoa powder). anyway, it’s DELICIOUS! i’d have never, ever thought of using avocados as a substitution. i used to use tofu to make “pudding” but i don’t eat soy anymore, so this is awesome! my recipe turned out beautifully.

Sounds like a delicious “pudding” pie!! I’m sure the melted chocolate would make the texture extra creamy!

So glad the recipe turned out well!

I’m thrilled to try this for the “chocoholics” in the house. I’m not even going to tell them how healthy it is! 😉

I really love your recipes! Can i replace maple syrup with honey, as it is quite difficult almost rare to find it here in Greece?
